Have you ever heard of the SliceOMatic? It slices, it chops and it Julienne’s! I was curious about this kitchen helper and wanted to try one out to see how it works, so I contacted the company about doing a review so here we are!
I received the unit packed nicely and safely in a box packed inside a box! I removed the box and saw a colorfully packages unit with the SliceOMatic in it. My daughter tried it a week or so ago to chop onions and didn’t have much to say about it. She stated it took more time and trouble to get the unit ready for an onion than to just chop it herself without the unit. So there was one opinion in my household.
Last night I decided to try and prepare julienne potatoes for Hash Browns and this is something I have NEVER made from scratch due to the cutting of the potatoes! I put the unit together and after figuring out how to Julienne, as I had not received instructions in the box or my DD threw them out last week, so I came online to their site to learn the proper adjustments, and found a lot of information online. OK now unit is adjusted and there I go in above picture. I had beautiful julienne slices except the end of the potato so I saved all those pieces and made them into a nice pile in the end and finished them off in slices!
I then took 1/4 of a large onion and julienned it as well, right into the potatoes! I love how it worked for this!
