Review & Giveaway – 2 winners! Sweet Tomatoes/Soup Plantation Dinner for 2

Have you all heard of Sweet Tomatoes or Souplantation? This restaurant carries both names!  Well, I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to do a review on the restaurant and offer a couple of my readers their own passes to try Sweet Tomatoes themselves! So I am ready to take a road trip and see what tastes I run across. Each month you will find a different theme of the foods served! Last month was Lemon!

My favorite part of the restaurant is when you walk in there is a HUGE salad bar to fill a plate or two with both make your own salad and also freshly prepared salads. My favorites are the Oriental Chicken Salad and Joan’s Broccoli Salad! Yum.  So tonight I fill my plate with these 2 salads and also made a small salad of my own with fresh peas, onions, beets, cheese, raisins, sunflower seeds and chinese noodles with my favorite dressing. I made my plate up so pretty just so I could take a picture of it for you and what happens? I get to the end where you check out and my hand just gave out on me and my plate fell and smashed to the ground and my beautiful salad flew everywhere!  Is there a table I can hide under please, somewhere?
Actually, the Manager Eric was so very kind and made me feel so much better. I was so embarrassed. By this time they started to get a bit busy for the dinner hour so I did not have time to be a salad artiste!
What I can tell you is that the Salads I choose were nice and fresh and tasty and I could eat there every day!

Next came soup and pasta time.  There are so many soups to choose from and that is their signature!  Tonight I first ate a small bowl of luscious Black Bean soup and then tried the Maryland Corn Chowder. I personally did not care much for the chowder. Others to choose from were Chili, Manhattan Clam Chowder, Chicken Noodle Soup and several other tempting flavors.
At Sweet Tomatoes/Soup Plantation they also have a few pasta choices, usually 3 flavors. Tonight I took a little 4 Cheese Alfredo and a little Mac & Cheese and I usually fore go the pasta but I did enjoy it tonight.
They also had a Marinara pasta but I did not try that!

Besides the lovely soups and salads and pastas, you can expect fresh baked muffins and desserts and foccocia bread in the bakery.  I cannot resist the bran muffins there. I will admit I had two. And for the sweet tooths after dinner, there is a dessert bar with fresh fruits, mousse of assorted flavors and some toppings for the soft icecream!

I would have to say that besides my embarrassing moment of making a huge mess, this was a very enjoyably dinner and I would recommend Sweet Tomatoes/Soup Plantation to anyone!  If someone cannot find what they like to eat while there and don’t get enough to eat then I don’t know what is wrong with them!
The table was kept clean of dirty dishes as well and that made it a good evening as well as I have been to another location that never seemed to clear the tables!  So to Eric and the staff of the Pt. Richey, 2 thumbs up and will be back to visit when in the area again!
